This summer at TechStars, we frequently played a party game called “Werewolf”. It was instrumental in connecting the companies, creating strong friendship bonds, & strengthening communication/start-up talents.
This game has also been adopted by popular by start up communities in San Francisco New York and around the world. Ben Huh founder of Cheezburger is so into it that his Twitter pic is him with a werewolf shirt.
We’re hosting a werewolf party this Thursday night to be held right after AtlantaStartup Village at Hypeopotamus. There will be pizza and beer. Come out and try werewolf. If you like it half as much as we did you’re in for a treat.
Taken from Wikipedia w/ some edits:
Werewolf is a party game modeling a battle between an informed minority (werewolves) and an uninformed majority (the townspeople). Players are secretly assigned roles: either werewolf, who know each other; or townspeople, who know only the number of mafia amongst them. In the game’s night phase the werewolves covertly ‘kill’ a townsperson. During the day phase, all of the surviving players debate the identities of the werewolves and vote to eliminate a suspect. Play continues until all of the werewolves have been eliminated, or until the werewolves outnumber the townspeople.
